I'm a self confessed Podcast Junkie! I'm a multi-tasker so the fact that I can run around doing all the things AND listen to some great design industry podcasts is the ultimate for me!
This morning as I was scrolling through Instagram, I saw that one of the interior designers that I follow was a guest on the podcast KB Talks. After I finished listening to that episode, I started scrolling through other feed to see if they had any other episodes that I might be interested and lo and behold, I saw that the Beyond The Trends - Color Is Relative panel discussion that I did with Maria Killam, Vanessa Deleon and Brynn Olson at KBIS earlier this year is on there! What a treat! If you're a podcast junkie like me, head on over there and listen to our discussion all about color!
Live on the KBISNeXT Stage! Color creates emotion, positive or negative, and at no time is this more apparent than when Pantone, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams and many others announce their COTY or Color of the Year. In response, designers take to the streets - or at least to Facebook, Pinterest or their blogs - to voice their opinions, share their inspiration and generally to embrace or dismiss the current year's choice. Our panel of color experts, moderated by color guru Maria Killam, explores the emotional impact of color, the importance of color trends and why color is relative to everything that surrounds it. Take away tips and tricks on selecting and manipulating color schemes in the kitchen, the bath and beyond. Moderator: Maria Killam, True Color Expert, Colour Me Happy Panelists: Rachel Moriarty, Rachel Moriarty Interiors Vanessa Deleon, Vanessa DeLeon Associates Brynn Olson, Brynn Olson Design Group, LLC
