Today, I'm sharing my top 20 thrifting tips!
Keep your car empty...you never know what you're going to find.
Keep a blanket in your car to protect any glass or delicate items that you might transport.
Wear a hands free bag.
Wear a simple layering outfit - jeans and a tee are the best.
If you're thinking about buying something...carry it with you.
If someone has something that you want...stay close in case they put it down.
Look for furniture with good lines - you can always paint it.
No smelly items! That funk won't come out.
Buy off-season. You find the best vintage jackets on hot days!
Know which stores have Sale Days
Be nice to the employees - they will do you a solid on pricing and sourcing if you create a relationship with them.
Keep your phone charged to look up items that you think might by valuable.
Hone your eye and be on the look out for certain colors and textiles.
If you start finding items that are just your style and size, you probably have a style doppelganger...that's fuel to keep looking!
Unroll rugs to check their condition.
Keep baby wipes in your car.
Ditto for hand sanitizer!
Keep a tape measure in your car.
Keep it on the downlow - don't share your fave thrifting spots with others.
Enjoy the thrill of the hunt!
