5 Simple Ways To Refresh Your Home For Spring

I don’t know if spring has officially sprung but it totally has for me, I just feel all springy in my soul.

Spring Mood Board

Take your home from winter to spring with a few simple tweaks.

Houseplants:

This may not seem like “decorating” but it is. It’s actually a favorite designer styling secret. Just pay attention to any design reveal or magazine spread and you will always see either fresh flowers or plants in the room shots. There are so many to choose from now too – there’s the popular fiddle leaf fig, which let’s face it, is just fun to say! Succulents, indoor cacti or plants in macramé hangers for the boho chic look.

Throw Blanket:

Update your space with some global flair! Throws are inexpensive, easy to store and make a huge impact in any space. You can change the look of a bedroom by using one as a bed scarf. You can strategically drape one on your existing sofa or layer a large one on the back of a sofa tucking in into the sofa cushions to give it a whole new look. Pick one with a global vibe and tassels or pom-poms for a truly updated look.

Pillows:

Don’t walk, RUN to Target or Home Goods to purchase some new pillows! All of the fresh new spring colors are out right now, so go out, brings some home and scatter them all over your sofa! Pick up some fun floor pillows or poufs while your at it for extra casual seating.

Walls:

Yes, you can refresh your walls with paint OR one of my new favorite design tricks is removable wallpaper. I’m a sucker for anything that can be changed up quickly. My personal favorite is wallsneedlove.com. Pop over there to see the latest and greatest bold cacti, birch trees, stripes and patterns.

Curtain Panels:

Curtains have huge impact for very little money. Now, I’m not talking about custom window treatments obviously, I’m talking about the ones that you can purchase in fun colors and prints. Think of how much real estate a pair of curtain panels takes up in a room. They are fairly inexpensive and can be changed seasonally. Use heavier weight fabrics during the winter months and a light-weight during the warmer months.
