How to show off your stuff without it looking junkie.
First, let me start by saying that collectors are my people! I’m a collector, my husband is a collector, I love me some collectors. It's so fun to see what people are passionate about and can't get enough of. I run into collectors all the time at Estate Sales and Flea Markets. We are cut from the same cloth and for us, it’s all about the thrill of the hunt. Here’s the thing though, after you've hunted it, you have to know how to edit and display it or else it just looks like, well, junk.
Here are 6 simple solutions to show off your stuff without looking junkie...
MOUNT IT:
No, I don't mean get up on it, I mean treat it as an art installation and mount it on your wall. There is a whole lotta' real estate to work with there so utilize that space!

GROUP IT:
Anything can be a collection...anything. Vintage door knobs, keys, clothes pins, wooden spools and even watering can tops! Grouping like items in a bowl or glass jar gives them importance. Collectors have a tendency to just go for quantity. Personally, I like to edit my treasures down and only keep the good stuff. Plus, I’m a huge believer that if you let stuff go, it creates space for better stuff. That doesn’t just apply to collecting, it applies to life as well. <<< Bonus Life Hack.

STACK IT:
Quilts are really pieces of art. A lot of time, creativity and passion go into making them so please don't hide them away. Wash them, fold them, stack them and love them.

REIMAGINE IT:
Think outside of the box and have fun with it. Sometimes you have to reimagine it to live with it and that’s the whole point really. We want to surround ourselves with our treasures. Who knew a vintage suitcase could make such a cute shelf!

Avoid clutter status by displaying your collections by color.

Framing your items will instantly take you from clutter to collection. It's a great way to showcase your passion.
