Don’t you just love the show Fixer Upper?
Every time I watch an episode, I want to pack my bags and move to Waco Texas.
Want to know how you can add that signature Farmhouse Style to your home?
I’ve got 5 easy steps to get you into the farmhouse flow:
STEP ONE - SIMPLIFY, SIMPLIFY, SIMPLIFY:
If you want that easy breezy modern farmhouse feel in your home, the first thing you’ll need to do is simplify and declutter.
STEP TWO – USE FRESH FLOWERS:
Joanna chooses one color and sprinkles it through the home with fresh flowers. Use simple yellow billy balls, red tulips or purple lavender and spread the love throughout the house. Simple cuttings in a bud vases, mason jars or vintage bottles will do the trick. And don't forget the magnolia wreath on the front door!

STEP THREE - ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE:
If it’s old and interesting, bring it in. Old doors, ladders, windmills, old signage…if you love it and it resonates with you, it's fair game.

STEP FOUR - NEUTRALS GALORE:
Begin with a soothing neutral color palette such as greys, light powdery blues, creamy whites. Her style is about layering on texture, use burlap for table runners and cotton for bedding.

STEP FIVE - VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL:
Industrial touches are a signature of modern farmhouse style. Add industrial pendant lighting, repurpose tool boxes, vintage fans, vintage card catalogs drawers and wire baskets. The paint should be chippy and the metal should be rusty.
