Welcome to Week 7 of the One Room Challenge! The good, the bad and ugly.
My friend, when I tell you that I am cutting this one CLOSE, I promise you that I am not just saying that for dramatic purposes! I just about had a panic attack when I saw some of the other One Room Challenge Participants photographing their space this week already! I am not even close!
WEEK 7 UPDATE....
Last week I took some time off to vacation with my husband and see some concerts up in Los Angeles. I'll share some of those pics later. While I was gone, my painter ran into some snafus. It turns out that some of the interior of the Airstream had silicone on the walls and nothing would stick to it! She had to scrap some of the detail work that she had done and start all over. You can see some of the areas below that need to be redone.
Cassandra has been such a trooper through this process. We also have streaking on the exterior - which is not even close to being finished but we are so close to the beach that it's a tough environment. I know that we will resolve all of the these issues but it's been quite a week.
THEN, when I got back from our mini vacay, I got sick, and then my husband got sick and then my 11 year daughter got sick. That meant that she had to stay home and cannot go back to school until she receives the results back from her Covid PCR Test. So that was another unexpected curveball. We're all on the mend now and luckily it was just a cold and not Covid. Onward!
MOHAWK HOME AREA RUG
I was excited to see that our Mohawk Home Prismatic Pavalla Transitional Art Area Rug arrived while I was away. We were so excited to get it unrolled and the it is absolutely gorgeous! The photos are pretty but in person it's even more stunning.....and super soft! This rug is available from several retailers like Lowes.

BURNING WOOD TILE FLOOR
The painting issues, pushed back the tile installation but we managed to get it installed! It will be grouted tomorrow morning and my electrician will install lighting and I will be able to start installing the furnishings and decor! YAY! I will be working through the weekend to get it finished because my photoshoot is scheduled early Monday morning rain or shine!
HOLLYWOOD HILLS HIDEAWAY

Last week we stayed at the most adorable Airbnb perched high up in the Hollywood Hills! It was so charming that I thought I'd share some photos of it with you here! It was like a modern rustic retreat with the most incredible views, an outdoor shower and a view of the Hollywood sign. It re-energized my soul and thank goodness because I'm going to need ALL the energy to pull this final reveal off!

ABOUT THE ONE ROOM CHALLENGE
The One Room Challenge®, currently in its twentieth season, is a widely anticipated biannual event every spring and fall. Each round, twenty design influencers are selected to take the challenge, as Featured Designers, and transform a space. Every Wednesday, the designers document their process while sharing their sources and professional advice over six (8 during Covid) weekly posts.
