This Spanish Hacienda located in Rancho Santa Fe, is all about casual Southern California style and timeless elegance. This dream estate home gives a nod 1920’s Mediterranean influences, which can be seen in the handmade Saltillo flooring, hand-hewn timber beams on the ceilings and eye-catching white plaster walls.

FROM GOODWILL TO GLOBAL GORGEOUSNESS
As we worked through decorating the various rooms of this estate, this room had become a little like the Land of Misfit Toys, a graveyard for all of the art and collectibles that we couldn't find a home for in the rest of the house.
The night before I came to style the space, my client's husband quipped that this space looked like a Goodwill! That became our running joke as we perfected the styling in this space.

In order to move away from the previous homeowner's Tuscan style, we modernized the space with a crisp clean white paint. It created an airiness to the space and showcased the stunning architectural details of the home.

There is a striking mix of new and old which infuses character into the home. We replicated that mix with the decor. I curated my clients mix of meaningful pieces that she wanted to incorporate into this space; her father’s original artwork, a large portrait painting of her mom, a metal and wood coffee table fabricated by her husband, a collection of vintage rugs from her mother-in-law and rustic Bavarian style furnishings and decor. These pieces of her family’s history, helps to ground this home and give it a sense of place.
I never get tired of receiving texts like this from my client after I've finished installing their rooms! Cue the tears!
"I'm obsessed! I still can't believe I live here and this is my stuff. Thank you! You are the Designer Fairy!" - Ingrid C.
