Style Inspiration from the Yucatan Peninsula

I recently returned from a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula and was so inspired! I want to share some photos of the trip plus some style inspiration and how you can bring this look into your home!

The Yucatan is this perfect blend of natural texture and saturated color which just happens to be my love language!

One of the things the Yucatan is best known for are their "cenotes" (pronounced se-no-tay) or ancient underwater sinkholes and caves that resulted from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposed groundwater underneath. Cenotes were sometimes used by the ancient Maya for sacrificial offerings. You'll have to trek a little of the beaten path through some mangroves but with a good local guide, the trek is well worth it! The scenery is beyond beautiful and the clear, cool blue water is soothing to your soul.

I felt so inspired by the Yucatan that my mind quickly got busy figuring out how to bring the Yucatan home so that you could be virtually transported to the Mexican Riviera.
