4 Ways To Effortlessly Update Your Bathroom

Moving can be stressful and overwhelming. Just ask my clients. They recently purchased a new historical home in San Diego - a beautiful Spanish Revival home that needs a lot of updating. This bathroom was no exception. They aren't ready for the big gut remodel but they also felt like they couldn't live with this bathroom in it's current state. Here's what we did...

EFFORTLESSLY UPDATE YOUR BATHROOM: REPAINT THE SPACE

The quickest and easiest way you can update your space is paint the walls. This bathroom was a dingy white/beige before so I came in with Benjamin Moore's Simply White and brightened the whole space up. Just that made it feel fresh, new and modern.

EFFORTLESSLY UPDATE YOUR BATHROOM: REFRESH CABINETS WITH PAINT

If you can't replace your bathroom vanity then repaint it! I used Benjamin Moore's Chelsea Gray on this cabinet.

EFFORTLESSLY UPDATE YOUR BATHROOM: REFRESH WINDOW TREATMENTS

You will want to splurge on some items in your newly refreshed bathroom so I chose custom woven roman shades for this space as well as a coordinating custom woven roller shade for the bathroom door for privacy.

EFFORTLESSLY UPDATE YOUR BATHROOM: TOWEL BARS AND HOOKS

Since this is a 1920's historical home with lots of character, I also decided to splurge on hand forged wrought iron towel bars, hooks, paper holder and cabinet pulls. It's a small detail that has a lot of impact and blends with the original character of the home.
