Sometimes my job requires me to travel to sin city with 25 of my designer besties to attend Las Vegas Market. It’s a sacrifice but someone’s got to do it. If you don’t know what market is, I’ll splain’ it to you. Market is held twice a year in places like Las Vegas, High Point, Atlanta and there’s always Maison et Objet in Paris (bucket list). Wholesale vendors show their goods and wares in a showroom and a lot of the buyers for the large retailers attend to purchase new products.

I was fortunate enough to have been chosen for Jackie Von Tobel’s VIP Experience. It was an all expense paid trip to Vegas Baby. We had appointments set for us to visit showrooms to check out new lines, create relationships and hob nob with designer-lebrities that are debuting their collections at the show. Thank you Jackie!

One of my fave parts was shopping at The Pavillions. You see, you can’t buy anything at market. It’s more like window shopping but it’s a whole different story at The Pavillions! It’s like the largest flea market ever and not only can you find new vendors but the items are “cash and carry” so I obviously had to hit up the jewelry vendors!
It was a great experience and I will be talking more about some of the trend spotting I did and the collaborations that I made! Stay tuned.
